Role
Successful candidates will be experienced in implementing, operating, tuning and troubleshooting enterprise Operations Manager 2007 solutions, combined with sophisticated experience of using PowerShell, and XML to enhance the SCOM capabilities. A good understanding of ITIL/Service Management processes and reporting is also essential. The successful candidate will both create and extend custom SCOM management packs to deliver innovative ways to monitor and support in-house and customer IT environments. Ideally you will have experience in the enterprise customer arena, with excellent customer engagement skills. Working within our Operations and Support team, the role will involve planning SCOM implementations, identifying relevant monitoring data to deliver meaningful alerts, reporting and KPIs, as well as day to support desk duties. Helpdesk support at 2nd or 3rd line within our existing young team will be challenging and diverse, as our cloud computing clients span all industry sectors. Experience of SNMP, VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, Cisco networking, HP SAN storage is also beneficial.
Candidate
The successful candidate is expected to have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extensive, in-depth knowledge of multiple technologies
- Microsoft and ITIL certification
- Good TCP/IP understanding
- At least 5 years industry experience
- Technical expertise implementing and managing MS System Center Operations Manager 2007
- PowerShell, VBscript skills essential
- Candidates with good Exchange 2010 administration skills preferred
Technical Consultant/Architect – VMware, Microsoft
Based: Leeds
Salary: £30-55k plus bonus

Role
A consultant with extensive experience of proposing, specifying, and building server virtualisation solutions. You will be expected to assist customers building their own private clouds, or migrating them to our public cloud platform. The role will involve both pre and post sales aspects, from technical sales presentations assisting the sales team, to architecting the overall solution design, and overseeing the implementation with help from our existing team of engineers. As a public face of the business, your communication skills must be excellent and your ability to think and work independently to design solid IT solutions to exceed our clients expectations is essential.
This individual must be a virtualisation specialist with a thorough understanding of all VMware infrastructure products, including ESXi, vCenter, and SRM, together with experience of building, configuring, and troubleshooting vSphere environments. Solid skills and experience are also required for Microsoft Exchange, SQL Server, Terminal Services or Citrix, and an in-depth understanding and experience implementing enterprise storage from either NetAPP, EMC, HP, or Equallogic SANs.
Experience of Microsoft SCOM, VMware vCloud Director, vCenter Operations, Orchestrator, Chargeback, etc. is beneficial but not essential.
