Microsoft Office Groove is the predecessor of SharePoint Workspace, it is a desktop application allowing remote users to access SharePoint files and collaborate on documents. Follow the screenshots below to add your SharePoint files to the Groove client.
Creating a Groove account is a requirement before the installation can begin.
Enter your details into the relevant fields.
Your account will be created.
Select No Listing.
Microsoft Office Groove is now installed, you must configure the Workspace to access the SharePoint files. From the Groove client select File –> New -> Workspace.
Select Standard Workspace.
Select the “Add a tool to this workspace” highlighted below in a red circle.
Select “SharePoint Files” from the menu bar.
Click the Setup… button.
Enter your site address into the Address bar e.g. https://yoursite:987 and click Select.
Enter your Windows User name and Password.
Click the select button again to proceed.
You should now have access to your SharePoint data.
