Congratulations to our competition winner!

Congratulations to our competition winner!

We’re pleased to announce that Mark AKA @poshfanupnorth has won £150 worth of Uber Eats vouchers in our latest social competition.

Towards the end of the last UK lockdown, the team set out to celebrate – or commiserate – employees as they returned to the workplace.

Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS explained the motive behind the competition, sharing that “the past year has been hard for everyone, both personally and professionally. As many returned to the office, we wanted to give people the chance to reconnect with their co-workers and regroup after a difficult time.”

To do this we decided to run a competition that gave one person the chance to win lunch on us. Whether the lucky winner wanted to share with their department or keep it for a rainy day, that was up to them.

The rise of Hybrid Working

The COVID 19 pandemic saw a massive shift to home working for many businesses and as lockdown restrictions began to ease, we saw a higher percentage of people move to a Hybrid Working environment. Hybrid Working is simply a flexible working structure that allows for both home and office-based working.

This new environment was primarily led by employees, with recent industry reports highlighting that 68% of employees wanted to continue working from home 1-3 days a week.

The results

The competition ran for three months across all virtualDCS social channels and we had over 200 entrants, so thank you to everyone that took part!

When we spoke to Mark and asked him how he was going to use the vouchers, he told us that “I’m absolutely thrilled to win; it’ll be great to have a few weekends off cooking in our house. I’m looking forward to inviting all the family around for a big get-together after a tough couple of years.”

Although there was only one lucky winner, we would like to thank all other entrants over the past few months.

Keep an eye on our social channels for any future competitions and if you don’t already, you can follow us here on Twitter, LinkedIn or Facebook. You can also find out more about Hybrid Working in our blog: “Exploring Hybrid Working
