The team will be back on the seven seat circular bicycle for the Involve 2013 mini tour in April, raising money for Disability Action Yorkshire, Heart Research UK and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.
The 2013 Mini-Tour, which starts on Friday 26th April and ends on Monday 29th April, consists of a 175 mile ride, over the 4 days, travelling through towns and cities across the north of England. Participants will be cycling in order to raise both money and awareness for the charities. On the first day of the tour virtualDCS will be cycling from York to Leeds, which is approximately 50 miles.
After working with Involve and sponsoring the Leeds City Centre event last year, virtualDCS team members are already familiar with the bike and are eager to continue supporting Geoff Major and Involve.
Geoff is known throughout Yorkshire for his unique fundraising challenges, which include a ski-trek to the North Pole and an upcoming trek across the Sahara Desert, all in the name of charity.
Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS said: “At virtualDCS we do our best to support both pioneering ideas and the local community, so for virtualDCS working with Geoff simply made sense.
We really enjoyed the Leeds event in December and we couldn’t resist taking part in the tour. Geoff consistently surprises us with his unique ideas and I have a huge amount of respect for him taking on the full 175 miles!”
“virtualDCS were great on the bike, turning heads throughout Leeds City Centre and helping to raise awareness for a good cause. I’m delighted that they have offered further support and are clearly a company with employees who are not afraid to get stuck in and involved in a physical challenge, like this!” commented Geoff.
