Cloud predictions are always being made and despite the fact that they are only predictions, they act as a useful guide to point businesses in the right trend direction.
We’ve compiled a list of four Cloud software trends that we believe will pick up speed in 2015.
- Human Resource software
It is anticipated that growth within this sector will be driven by hiring, training and performance management along with the continuing movement towards Software as a Service (SaaS).
According to the Market Research Media report ‘Human Resources (HR) Software Market Forecast 2015-2020’ the software market is anticipated to grow at a rate of 2.4% to reach a value of $9.2 billion by the end of 2020.
- Increased technical adoption
Chris Bruce of TLNT predicts an increased focus on technology adoption for retaining and hiring talent. It’s anticipated that more software will become portable, as mobile devices and working on the move becomes the norm. Mobile optimised software will eventually become the standard format as there is a distinct employee drive towards this. Gartner also predicts that mobile and cloud computing will continue to increase the need for information sharing on multiple devices.
- Cloud storage
McAfee Labs foresees ransomware authors increasingly targeting cloud-based storage systems, such as Dropbox and Google Drive, suggesting an increase in adoption of cloud based storage.
- Cloud CRM software
While Cloud CRM is nothing new, more and more companies will be switching to web based CRM applications. So much so that Gartner predicts more than 50% of CRM deployments in 2015 will be Cloud SaaS based.
