Unified Communication: Cloud Communication and employees

Cloud Computing technology is embedded into our lives and is clearly here to stay.

Many organisations have already taken full advantage of cloud technology, replacing central offices with employees working remotely from their home offices.

This is made possible by utilising Unified Communications. Gartner defines Unified communications (UC) as “products (equipment, software and services) as those that facilitate the interactive use of multiple enterprise communications methods.” Examples of technology under this umbrella would be VoIP calling and instant messaging.

Embracing this technology helps employees to successfully navigate their tasks, while ensuring communication is reliable and easily accessible… employees can always contact each other no matter where they are in the world. This is an irreplaceable tool for any organisation where employees travel, enabling productivity to remain high.

A centralised communications process also means that employees know where to discover information, which increases efficiency, so everyone is always up to speed on the latest tasks and dramatically enhancing team work.
