virtualDCS are proudly supporting Geoff Major’s latest challenge, sponsoring a 7-seater bicycle ride around Leeds City Centre on the 18th December.

The day acts as a promotion for a 350 mile bike ride over 7 days in April 2013, which will raise money for and awareness of Disability Action Yorkshire, Heart Research UK and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

Seven seated circular bikeThe 7-seat circular bike will complete several circuits around Leeds City Centre, starting and finishing at the Leeds Club on Albion Street. Routes are currently planned for 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 am, 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm, with limited places left for those wishing to take part.

Geoff is famous throughout the Yorkshire community for his unique fundraising events, with his most successful challenge to date being his North Pole trek last year. 2013 is shaping up to be no-less challenging, with the mini-tour and a trek through the Sahara Desert, both of which are proudly being supported by virtualDCS.

Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS said: “As a business, virtualDCS is consistently creating and supporting innovative ideas, which is one of the reasons we have decided to assist Geoff in his fundraising challenges. We are also in the fortunate position to be growing successfully, so we like to give back to the Yorkshire community as much as possible through our charity work, plus continued growth and employment plans. For virtualDCS, the pieces fit together and we had to sponsor the event.”

When virtualDCS offered to support the event I was thrilled with the prospect and I can’t wait to see the team test-driving the bicycle around Leeds. Without local businesses and a few daring individuals the selected charities would not benefit from these challenges” said Geoff Major.

About involve:

Involve is the creation of Geoff Major. Its purpose is to give everyone the opportunity, the inspiration and the support to involve themselves on a personal adventure that challenges them and adds value for charity.

Having already raised almost £30 000 for a variety of charities, Geoff says “Thanks to the kind support of event sponsors like virtualDCS, we will continue to raise even more money for charity”.

There are LOTS of adventures planned for Involve; small activities everyone can join in on and bigger challenges for the ‘extra-adventurous’. But whichever you decide to do, you’ll feel better for doing it and you can raise money for the charity that’s special to you.

So whether it’s cycling, walking or ‘other’ means of transport, in the UK or maybe abroad, there’s probably an adventure waiting for you.
