virtualDCS support Heart Research UK at the Buy Yorkshire Conference
The team will be at stand 117 between the 24th and 25th April, at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
This year, Cloud Computing company virtualDCS is focussing its efforts, at the Buy Yorkshire Conference on raising awareness and funds for the Yorkshire-based national charity Heart Research UK. The team will be raffling off a range of prizes that will be sure to have delegates heading to the Clouds! These include an AR drone and iTunes vouchers in order to raise money for the cause.
The main focus of Heart Research UK is to fund innovative medical research projects that are aimed at the treatment, cure and prevention of heart disease. The charity also supports original healthy lifestyle activities and initiatives which aid people to live healthier.
During the event virtualDCS will also be offering free comprehensive advice about Cloud Computing technologies, including information on its Disaster Recovery and Software as a Service solution, which is designed to help software developers to deploy and sell their software internationally, through the Cloud.
“Heart Research UK is an important charity that virtualDCS fully supports. After a successful event at Buy Yorkshire last year, we decided to merge our efforts in order to raise awareness for a worthwhile cause.
We also believe that it is important to note that although we now successfully provide a variety of Cloud services internationally, we are still firmly rooted in the Yorkshire region, where both our data centres and offices are established. We can only imagine this regional relationship strengthening in 2013, as we continue to find ways to support the local community.” Said Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS.
Chris Child, Communications Manager of Heart Research UK said: “We really appreciate the support of virtualDCS. The help of local businesses is so important to Heart Research UK and helps us to continue our work into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. Having previously worked with virtualDCS on another charity fundraising event we have got to know the team very well and are looking forward to working with them again.”
Set over two days, the Buy Yorkshire conference is the largest business to business conference in the North of England and is expected to attract 3,500 delegates and 170+ exhibitors. Speakers on the day include representatives of IBM, Freeserve and Wonga.
