Between the 16th and 19th January, Richard May of virtualDCS is taking part in the Alpine Challenge 2014, raising funds for the youth charity, Snow camp.
For the Snow camp challenge, Richard will be teaming up with Skiweekends, the task challenges the group to ski or snowboard 150 KM across the Portes de Soleil ski area in Morzine, hitting 15 checkpoints and completing a 5KM mountain night hike! The team that visits the most checkpoints, completes the mountain hike and has the most KM’s will win the challenge.
Richard May, Managing Director of virtualDCS said: “This is going to be a really challenging task, but I’m looking forward to it. I’ve always enjoyed skiing, so I’m really pleased that I can use my skills to benefit such a worthwhile charity.”
Snow-Camp is an innovative youth charity, using a combination of snowboarding, skiing and life-skills programmes to support inner-city young people. Its programme helps to grow confidence and self-esteem, make positive choices and develop as individuals. Helping them to develop new skills to support their futures, the individuals can reflect on the key issues impacting their day to day lives.
