On the 16th and 17th May, the virtualDCS team is returning to the Royal Armouries in Leeds. Delegates can take a walk in the park and have a picnic with the team on stands 131 and 120.
virtualDCS will be offering free business continuity advice to delegates, showing visitors that Disaster Recovery doesn’t have to be complicated with help from the virtualDCS and technology such as Veeam, VMware and Nimbox.
With special guests Nimbox, the team will once again be conducting an anonymous survey on the ‘state of Disaster Recovery in the Yorkshire region’ as a follow up from last year’s activities.
“We had a brilliant response to the research we conducted last year and we actually uncovered some very surprising and worrying statistics. From these results, we decided that it would be useful to conduct the same research again, so we could compare and contrast how Disaster Recovery trends have changed over the last year.” said Nicola Smith, Marketing Manager at virtualDCS.
Some of the statistics included:
- 13% of respondents had never backed up any business data.
- 35% of companies didn’t have a Disaster Recovery plan in place.
- 43% of businesses risk losing over 24 hours’ worth of data at any time.
The full results from last year’s survey can be viewed here.
