Channel Account Executive

virtualDCS is a UK owned and operated Cloud Services Provider, based in Leeds.

For over 10 years, we have been working hand in hand with our customers and partners, helping them to utilise and adopt Cloud technologies worldwide. Working with Channel Partners, and IT Professionals, we excel at finding the right solution to simplify our client’s journey to the Cloud. Offering a range of services, we have our own Private and Public Cloud solutions, and deliver a range of Disaster Recovery and Cloud Backup services.

Our strongest growth can be seen through our partners and our channel presence is a large proportion of our business, one that we are actively growing. As a top Veeam partner, our innovative Backup and DR solutions represent a great opportunity for our partners to enhance their portfolio, and this is where our new role is primarily focused.

During the COVID pandemic, we have had great success with remote working. This means we now have a fantastic opportunity to recruit nationwide and not just in Leeds and surrounding areas, although occasional visits to our Leeds based office will be required.

Main Duties:

This role is responsible for building lasting, productive relationships, based on mutual successes. High levels of expertise and empathy are required to advise our partners and to ensure that we act as a trusted advisor to their business. Working closely with partners to help identify new revenue and growth opportunities is critical to the role, therefore, the candidate will have the ability to build great internal and external relationships quickly and professionally.

The candidate will also need to have excellent communication skills, business acumen and relationship building skills at an executive level to ensure that the business can influence and develop our partner community more broadly.

Ideal Attributes

Whilst we are looking for applicants with a solid educational and/or demonstrable IT experience, it will be your ability to fit into our team and company work ethic that is the most desirable attribute. Training on products and industry-specific items can be given to any candidate; your desire to progress and work within a fun, lively and growing team that counts.

• Goal-oriented and driven
• Know Veeam technology and how it’s used by our customers
• A team player who is enthusiastic, bright and has a can-do attitude
• Should be degree qualified
• Must have at least three years industry experience
• Able to prioritise, multi-task and work on your own initiative
• Working with sales and marketing teams to help scope future projects
• Self – generate to be able to discover potential clients

• Identifying significant industry patterns and changes, feeding these back to the team
• Regular client check-ins to source sales forecasts and service expectations
• Working with Vendors to promote business Skills
• Core sales experience, skills in partner channel development and alliance management in the technology industry.
• Experience with Cloud-based solutions with a reasonable level of technical proficiency.
• To be inclusive and collaborative – driving teamwork and cross-team alignment.
• Strong partner relationship management and solution development skills.
• Problem-solving with the ability to mentality leverage internal and/or external resources, conflict resolution, and follow through with partners.
• Strong executive presence including communication and presentation skills with a high degree of comfort to large and small audiences.
