Azure Solutions Architect

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Pre-Sales Consultant that is experienced with selling Infrastructure As A Service and traditional Managed Services.

You must bring valuable experience of Microsoft Azure solution selling for a number of years, and come from an Infrastructure engineering background, with solid technical architecture and delivery management experience.

The role will be mainly Pre-Sales with delivery from our existing engineers, but all of our client facing workforce are consulting practitioners, and will also be involved in client delivery work on a regular basis.
You will be required to take charge and manage the delivery of the customer’s technical requirements, both from a pre & post-sale supporting position. You will also help lead and develop all areas of our technical resource to include, project installations, client technical proposals, internal technical sales training, technical vendor certifications, mentoring and monitoring, and internal system/s management.

Reporting directly to the CTO as opposed to Sales, your role will be influential to the future direction of the products and services offered by virtualDCS over the next 5 years.

Previous Experience:

• You can talk at the level of a technical engineer, right through to the c-suite.
•You have a good presence, and can establish immediate credibility.
• You have excellent commercial awareness.

•You have experience with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (or similar methodologies) and have delivered large enterprise Azure solutions.
•Having experience in pre-sales you can manage, deal economics and write clear proposal and Statements of Work.

Essential criteria:
• Direct experience of enterprise solution shaping and Microsoft Azure Cloud deployment architecture development including excellent documentation skills
• Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, networking, and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Understanding of Microsoft Identity and Access Management products such as Azure AD, ADFS, Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, Azure AD Proxy, SAML and Active Directory Domain Services.
• Experienced in the design and delivery of enterprise-level Highly Available solutions.
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Source Control, ARM templates, JSON, Bash and deployment automation.

Beneficial Skills:

• VMware or Hyper-V solution design and implementation
• Disaster Recovery solution technologies like Zerto, VMware SRM or Veeam
• Basic Linux skills
• Cisco or other networking experience
• Firewalling, VPN, and security design principles

• Shape current and future products and marketing strategies through feedback to sales, marketing, and engineering

• Significant hands-on industry knowledge and experience in areas such as Unified Endpoint Management, Information Security, Identity & Management solutions, IT Infrastructure Architecture, and Virtualization solutions
• Hands-on experience with both successful migration and deployment of Onedrive, Sharepoint, and Teams based services to customers
• Relevant hands-on technical sales or consulting experience with products like Windows 10, Surface, Office 365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM), Intune, Azure Active Directory, Desktop Virtualization, and WVD
• Relevant Microsoft Certified designations based on experience
