- Complete resiliency – Every server you take on our platform has a virtual hot spare, so if the hardware your server is running on fails you can be up and running again automatically in 90 Seconds.
- Allocated resources – Your server has its own CPU and memory allocation that is not shared with other servers, this prevents other busy servers having an effect on your performance.
- Independent systems – Your server is completely independent of any other server in our platform; you can, therefore use a vast number of operating systems on it.

Throughout my entire career I have been fascinated by the concept of providing I.T. as a Service, and technologies that enable this such as virtualisation.
Having previously worked for companies such as ICM, BT and Planet Online I now have over 30 years of I.T. experience, with a constant focus towards developing the technology and services that have formed Cloud Computing.
Working with the virtualDCS team, we continue to develop and shape the industry. We pride ourselves on being industry leaders with the key aim of providing the best solutions to our customers.
As a proud original founder of virtualDCS, I am focussed on maintaining the highest customer service levels and ensuring industry beating uptime is delivered.I oversee the provision of virtualDCS’s service to our customers, ensuring that they receive the best possible solutions for their business requirements.
Like Richard, I have over 30 years of experience within the I.T. industry and before forming virtualDCS I worked with numerous traditional hosting solutions and organisations as a technical architect. My background enables me to help oversee the technical and support teams at virtualDCS as we develop new ideas and solutions to today’s rapidly changing business environments.
I have been in sales for over 15 years, with focus and genuine interest in the hosted and outsourced I.T. sector.
For the last 10 years I have worked both direct and channel models in the I.T. industry, from selling small Private Cloud installs, through to a major UK hosting framework estimated to be in excess of £400 million. “People do business with people” in my eyes, never a truer phrase has been said.

Customer Support Executive
I have always had a passion for technology, with over 12 years’ experience in IT services, having begun my career working for a large international telecommunications provider.
Like virtualDCS, I believe in providing unparalleled levels of customer service – offering only the best advice and solutions. I enjoy the challenge of working in such a dynamic industry with a dedicated team of professionals.
I am an experienced Business Development Manager with over 28 years’ involvement in IT Hosted Infrastructure and Managed Services, with a passion for delivering customer satisfaction.
In my time I have worked both directly with customers and indirectly through channel partners, at all times meeting or exceeding customers’ expectations, so joining virtualDCS was easy for me as they share the same values as I do.
virtualDCS is at the forefront in the continuing digital world, and I welcome the opportunity to work with all customers on making their Business more agile, adaptable and profitable.
I joined the company in 2014 as a support engineer, working for virtualDCS while also completing a Microsoft apprenticeship.
Working for such an innovative company means that I get to learn new skills every day, which is a challenge I enjoy.
Finance and Administration Manager
I joined virtualDCS in 2010 as Finance and Administration Manager.
It is a varied and interesting role which involves many tasks, including managing the accounts, overseeing HR procedures, assisting with the administration of contracts, orders and purchasing and generally ensuring that the administrative side of the business runs smoothly and effectively.
I’ve always been interested in new and advancing technologies. Having recently joined the team as an apprentice I now get to explore these new technologies as well as learning all the basics of the pre-existing platforms for them.
The team has been helping me learn my roles and responsibilities as a newcomer. The capabilities of virtualisation is inspiring and I’m thrilled to be working in an area of my interests with virtualDCS.
I am one of the support engineers at virtualDCS, having joined the company in 2012 as a ‘support apprentice’. Using skills gained through my apprenticeship I work within the team to troubleshoot different software and technology issues our customers face.
Working at virtualDCS I am learning from some of the best minds in the virtualisation industry and gaining experience with technologies such as VMware and Microsoft, while I continue to gain industry qualifications.
Business Support Assistant
In 2018 I joined the virtualDCS team as Business Support Assistant. I started my studies in IT which has always been of interest to me and with many years’ experience gained in administration and customer service, virtualDCS is a perfect fit.
My role is varied and interesting and I enjoy working with a team of specialists who are professional and make virtualDCS a great place to work.
I joined virtualDCS in 2011, my role involves managing the marketing department for the company, promoting virtualDCS and our services.
I love my job and feel very lucky to be working with virtualDCS, in such a challenging environment. I have a passion for all things marketing and technology and I regularly update the virtualDCS blog, keep an eye out!

As support engineer for virtualDCS, my I.T. career originally started at the Zenos I.T. Academy in Leeds. After graduating I went to work for a small Huddersfield based company, where I dealt with end user issues, from this I naturally progressed into managing and solving more complex technical cases.
Virtualisation has always impressed me – the idea of having multiple servers on one machine is fascinating. I know that virtualDCS is the place to be for both virtualisation technology and expanding my skill set.
Head of Technical Support
I started my career as an I.T. technician at Durham University, before moving to Leeds and progressing to Head of I.T. for a Recruitment firm with offices throughout Europe.
I then moved to virtualDCS in late 2010, since joining I haven’t looked back. In my Role as head of technical support, I work closely with our customers to ensure that their platform constantly performs at a high standard and any issues experienced by our customers are resolved in an expedient and friendly manner.
virtualDCS has been the most challenging yet rewarding role of my career to date, harnessing cutting-edge technology to deliver real-world solutions to our customers.
